I take brands outside — and coach you through every shot.
I'm Rebecca Sloan, a brand photographer and content partner based in Denver, Colorado. I specialize in brand photography for founders, fitness studios, gyms, wellness businesses, and coaches — anyone whose brand lives in motion.
I shoot against the backdrop I fell in love with — the Rockies, the high desert, the aspens in October — because the places where your brand lives should feel as alive as you do.
I believe the most compelling brand photos don't happen in a studio — at least not the stiff, lit-from-every-side kind. They happen on the floor of your gym mid-class, on a trail at golden hour, in the studio where your clients show up every week, on the rooftop of your coworking space with the mountains behind you. The places where you live and work are part of your story, and your audience deserves to see that.
How I got here.
I picked up a camera as a teenager traveling abroad, and never really put it down. I trained at the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism — a school built on teaching people how to tell true stories visually, which turned out to be the perfect foundation for the work I do now. Since launching Rebecca Sloan Creative in September 2019, I've shot over 500 sessions and built a business that grew steadily through the pandemic and beyond.
I didn't start out in brand photography. Like a lot of photographers, I started by shooting everything — weddings, events, family portraits, you name it. But something clicked when I started working with business owners. They weren't just looking for pretty pictures. They needed images that did something — images that made people trust them, follow them, buy from them.
That's when I realized I wasn't just a photographer. I was a brand partner.
I also noticed something that kept coming up: almost everyone I worked with felt some version of "I don't know what to do on camera." They'd stiffen up, overthink their smile, or just stand there hoping for the best. So I started directing. Coaching. Telling people exactly where to stand, how to move, when to look away, when to laugh. And the photos got dramatically better — because the people in them finally looked like themselves.
I've been hard of hearing my whole life and wear a cochlear implant. It's shaped the way I see — and the way I photograph.
Long before I had a camera in my hand, I was learning to read people without sound. I watched faces closely. I caught the split-second shift when someone relaxed or tensed up. I learned to guide conversations — asking people to face me, to slow down, to show me what they meant. That attentiveness is the foundation of everything I do now.
When you're on set with me, I'm watching more closely than most photographers ever learn to watch. I see the moment your shoulders drop. I catch the real laugh before you do. I know how to direct you into an image without needing a thousand words — because I've spent a lifetime communicating in the spaces between them.
Today, I'm the #1 ranked personal brand photographer in Denver, working with founders, gym owners, fitness studios, wellness businesses, coaches, and active lifestyle brands — clients who want more than photos. They want someone who coaches them on camera, handles their content, and keeps their brand visible month after month.
What it's like to work with me.
I'm not the photographer who shows up, takes your headshots, and disappears. I'm the one who learns your business, directs your shoot like a creative director, coaches you through every frame, and then handles your content after the camera goes away.
Here's the thing about how I shoot: I direct the scene, then I document what's real inside it. Instead of posing you into stiff, perfect frames, I coach you into movement, energy, and presence — then I catch the moments you don't even know I'm capturing. The laugh between takes. The way you lean into your client. The quiet second before you speak. That's where your brand actually lives, and it's where the images that feel like you always come from.
Most of my clients work with me on a monthly retainer. We plan together, I direct and coach the shoot, and then I deliver your images, write your captions, schedule your posts, and send you a report on what's working. It's not a one-and-done thing. It's a partnership.
And if you're wondering what shoot days feel like — they're fun. I tell you exactly what to do, so there's no awkwardness or guesswork. We go to great locations, we move around, we talk, we laugh, and somewhere in there, we get photos that make you say, "That's exactly how I want people to see me."
Denver is my backdrop. Yours too.
There's a reason so many founders, studio owners, and creators land in Colorado. The energy here is different — active, ambitious, grounded. I shoot with that in mind. Whether we're on the floor of your gym, in a Pilates or yoga studio, at your wellness space, on Lookout Mountain, or on the rooftop of your coworking space — the environment is always part of the frame.
If your brand lives in Colorado, your photos should feel like it.
